Divoom Times Frame

Watch the full review

A normal digital photo frame is a screen in a plastic box, and it looks like one. The Divoom Times Frame uses a semi-transparent IPS panel instead, so the image appears to float inside the glass rather than sit behind it — photos gain a depth that a standard frame cannot produce, and when it is not showing photos it looks like a piece of decor rather than a switched-off tablet.

It is a photo frame, a clock and a dashboard

Over 400 clock faces ship with it, from minimal digital to full pixel-art scenes, and you can swap them in a tap. Beyond the clock it shows live weather, stock and crypto tickers, your calendar, reminders and a built-in Pomodoro timer — which is what makes it earn desk space on a working day rather than only being looked at on the way past.

64GB on board, and the app is free

Photos and video go on from the free Divoom app on iOS or Android, from anywhere — which means family abroad can send pictures straight to the frame on your shelf without touching it. The 64GB of internal storage is far more than a frame ever needs: on the order of hundreds of thousands of photos, or thousands of minutes of video. Several people can be given access, so a shared family frame stays current without one person managing it.

The pixel-art side is the part people underestimate

Divoom’s community has millions of creators publishing pixel art and animations that you can browse, download and put straight on the frame — or draw your own in the app, pixel by pixel. It turns a fixed decoration into something that changes whenever you feel like it, at no cost.

A gift that does not get put in a drawer

Birthdays, weddings, graduations, housewarmings — this is the rare gadget gift that sits in a living room on display. For anyone with family in another city or country, a frame that a relative can push photos to from their phone is the point of it.

• Semi-transparent IPS panel with a floating, 3D-like look
• 400+ swappable clock faces
• Live weather, stock and crypto tickers, calendar, reminders
• Built-in Pomodoro timer for desk use
• 64GB internal storage for photos and video
• Free iOS and Android app — upload remotely from anywhere
• Multi-user access for shared family frames
• Huge pixel-art library, plus a drawing tool to make your own
• WiFi connected — no memory card shuffling

This is the exact frame filmed for the review above, inspected before listing — which is why it is far below its usual price. Set it up on a shelf this weekend and let the people who matter fill it from their phones.
